I want to introduce you to a modern approach to mindfulness and meditation
I have a goal, and that is to share how learning to feel your feelings, to listen to your intuition and to reconnect to your sense of self can change not just how you see yourself, but the world that you live in. It’s not about changing who you are, creating a brand new life or climbing mountains - it’s about remembering who you are, all the parts of what make you, well magnificently you! It’s learning how to love the life that you already have, to know how to write the future that you want and to have fun as you do it.

I’m Kathryn

I really was the last person that you’d think of when you thought wellness.
I was living a hugely busy, successful and stressful life in the corporate world, one that I’d thoroughly enjoyed for many years. I’d worked in one of NZ’s largest tech companies and fully brought into the work hard / play hard philosophy and had taken that with me. I drank a little too much, I smoked way too much, I slept far too little and exercise, well that was pretty non-existent.
I also lived on a rollercoaster of emotion and anxiety which I had come to view as pretty normal - this is how most people lived, right? At least I was convinced that this was adulting in action! I was also dealing with some big ticket items from childhood that I had buried rather successfully, at least I thought that I had. In fact I had buried these things down so deeply and created solid stories around them, it all felt like it was wrapped up nicely.
You see, I’d had an amazing childhood for the most of it. Hugely loving, supportive and open family. We travelled for most of it, through the Middle East, Europe and here in NZ. I had a lot of love, a lot of laughter and support. However there were some huge speed bumps and they left me with a grief that I was in no way equipped to deal with. It was because of all of this that I then lived with guilt and frustration towards my thoughts and emotions - I had a life that was incredibly fortunate, to think otherwise spurred up with a hurricane of emotions. It was a chance encounter with a hugely inspiring mentor, a shift into motherhood and a huge overhaul of my health, mind and body, that shifted me into living a life full of purpose, a conscious life. I want to help you to do the same, no matter where you are on your journey.
I learnt what it meant to become comfortable in my own skin and my own head! I learnt how to get into the driver’s seat again and not get swept away with thoughts and emotions. In fact, I learnt how to translate my emotions and now view them as one of my strengths.
Life can be messy, no one gets away without a little mess. Learning how to deal with it though, learning how to roll with the punches and to perform at your very best, well that’s when you step into your worth. My intention and passion as a teacher is to show you how you can use these wonderfully powerful and ancient practices in your busy and chaotic modern world. How to feel your feelings, to know yourself. To get excited about the future and to do so, whilst embracing who you are right now!

My coaching has its foundations in self-worth, letting go of the unhelpful thought patterns that keep you up at night and hold you back and most importantly reconnecting with your unique authenticity. I truly believe that there is a practice for everyone, it’s just waiting to be discovered.

I use a mixture of mindfulness, meditation and gentle inquiry to help you to create a life that you love. Using techniques that are backed by neuroscience, psychology, energetics and epigenetics, I will share with you ancient (and most importantly proven!) practices that will help you to feel your feelings, listen to your intuition, develop your sense of self and manage those unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours.
