General Care
-
Watch the Light
Keep all candles away from direct heat and light sources, including radiators and sunny spots in your house or garden.
-
Mind the Surface
Always protect your furniture. Make sure that you use a candle tray or similar that isn’t flammable and can contain any melted wax should it get drippy!
-
Doesn't Play with Others
Keep lit Scented Candles away from curtains, children and pets. Never leave them unattended.
Let’s talk Candles.
Not all candles are there to be lit. Some of our candles are simply decorative - for example our Lego inspired candles. If this is this case, make sure that you don’t light them, don’t place them in direct sunlight and enjoy your sculptural wax delight!
To get the best burn from your candles, make sure that they are on a stable surface that won’t get bumped around. This will avoid wax spills.
To avoid soot and smoke, ensure that there are no drafts in your room from open windows or doors.
Do not burn your candle all the way down, always leave at least 5mm of wax at the base.
We advise that before lighting your candle, it is placed on a suitable surface for collecting wax. Please trim your wick to 1/4" before lighting - by trimming the wick this allows a cleaner and even burn.
We recommend lighting your candles for shorter periods of time (maximum of 45 minutes) , or until you have an even melt pool, this will stop your candle from tunneling.
Trim the candle wick in between each time you light it to allow a cleaner burn.
