I’m Kathryn,
founder and creator of Scented Fable. With a lifelong fascination for myth, nature, and the quiet power of ritual, I weave inspiration from the English countryside, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and here in New Zealand into every scent I create.
Scented Fable was born from my own search for calm—those small, sacred moments of stillness amidst the noise of modern life. As a mindfulness and meditation teacher, I’ve seen just how powerful simple, intentional rituals can be. How lighting a candle, repeating an affirmation, or pausing for a few slow breaths can shift how we feel—if only for a moment.
For me, scent has always been the fastest way back to myself. It grounds me, anchors me, and reminds me of who I am—beyond the roles, the lists, and the noise.
Scented Fable is my way of sharing that with you. A collection of mood-shifting tools and rituals, thoughtfully crafted to help you pause, reset, and reconnect. My hope is to show just how simple it can be to weave ritual into even the busiest of lives.

Pure, Clean, and Inspired by Tradition
Rooted in beautiful design with a focus on clean and natural formulations, each of our products is created to make daily rituals more enjoyable and impactful. Our formulations are clean, natural and plant based, free from sulphates, parabens and other harsh chemicals.
The candles are handcrafted in small batches using some of the most beautiful materials. They are crafted from natural soy and beeswax with lead free, cotton wicks and non-toxic fragrances. They are inspired by history and nature, with our Epicurean collection molded from real fruits and vegetables, resulting in a collection that is both visually striking and one-of-a-kind. Each candle captures the essence of orchards found from the places of my childhood. Of ancient statues and of inspiring individuals.
Using ancient candle making traditions and handcrafted in small batches at my Auckland studio, these candles are always safe and cruelty-free.
Awaken Your Senses with Scented Fable
Scent can transport us to far off places, it can unlock memories, and it can even create lasting transformations in both our bodies and minds. As part of my exploration in scent and wax, each scent is crafted with a perfumer’s mindset, exploring natural herbs, ancient recipes, and the lore of plant magic. Inspired by ancient herbal knowledge, these products are crafted to transport, calm, and inspire—a bridge between past and present. Exploring ancient formulas - even ancient recipes that go as far back as Cleopatra and even further back. It is my goal to use these traditions in our modern world, so that we can come back to ourselves.
