Scented Fable is an Auckland based candle company founded by Kathryn MoleEach piece is designed to trick the eye and hold attention. Sculptural candles made to be displayed and used, objects that earn their place at the centre of the table.
What began as a series of experiments in 2019 has evolved into a distinctive candle design studio, now stocked in some of Auckland’s most design forward spaces. We create authentic studies of objects drawn from the garden, the orchard, and the pantry. Designs that trick the eye and celebrate the pleasure of illusion, combining artistry with a sense of fun.
From designing and crafting our own moulds to hand pouring each candle in our Auckland studio, we oversee every step of the process. The result is a collection that sits comfortably between art and décor. Food inspired forms that are deliberately deceptive and made to make you look twice.
At Scented Fable, craftsmanship and creativity come together in every piece. We also collaborate closely with local artisans and manufacturers to bring each design to life with precision and care.
Our candles can be found at Auckland Museum, WOLRD BRANDS, Father Rabbit and a wonderful collection of like minded business that have commissioned bespoke pieces.
