Manifestation: Vision Boards

WHAT: VISION BOARD
WHO’S IT FOR: Everyone that wants to shape their future!
Vision boards, or action boards are an amazing way to narrow down your focus. I recently did this (the last time would have been at least 5 years ago!) when I was doing ‘The Artist’s Way’ by Julia Cameron. It was such a powerful way to get things back on track and to really get clarity and focus. I know that for me, the last time that I did this my idea of success and what I thought that I wanted were very different. I also was able to get a lot clearer this round as I was a lot more connected with who I am. This is key for a successful board.
So, what do you need to know? Don’t fill your board with things that you don’t really want. Don’t lie to yourself - this board is for you so make it real. Try a meditation, walk, journaling before you sit down to do this. I use journal prompts with my clients so that they can really get clarity.
Don’t hold too tightly to exact outcomes. This can often lead to disappointment. It doesn’t need to be physical - I love using Canva for this.
Step 1:
To start. Grab your space, make it somewhere that you see all the time to keep it front of mind. If you are going to do this, then go all in, don’t hide it in shame. Shout it loud and proud. Have some fun.
Step 2:
Get clear on what it is that you want. Don’t latch on to the order in which you get things or even too specific. Think about feelings, what you want your life to feel like and the why. Always know the reason why you want something as this will help you dig down to root of what it is you want. For example, perhaps you think you want money - is it actually freedom that you are after?
Step 3:
Have your board somewhere that you can see it and refer back to it. Update it as often as you need. Keep an eye out for others that have the things that you want.
Step 4: Once you have your board, what are some steps that you can take to make it real? What small but incremental steps can you take?
