CITRUS, GINGER AND FENNEL TEA
A refreshing and uplifting tea with a citrus, ginger twist and energising hit of fennel.
Brighten up your day (perfect for these changeable wet Spring days!) with a cup of this energising tea — the natural sweetness of the fennel complements the citrus flavour of the orange and lemon, with just the right amount of ginger for a gentle warming kick.
INGREDIENTS
1l water
1 navel orange
1 lemon
1 thumb-sized piece ginger, peeled (if not organic) & finely sliced
10 fennel seeds (optional)
maple syrup, to sweeten (optional)
METHOD
01: Place all of the ingredients in a large saucepan. Cover and bring to a boil. Then turn off the heat and leave to steep, still covered, for 1 hour.
02: Strain out the pieces and reheat before serving. Sweeten with a little maple syrup, if desired.
